Amanda Mohammed is a graduate student in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (MS) at Lynn University and achieved undergraduate honors in Psychology (BS) from COSTAATT, Trinidad and Tobago. She is a counselor-trainee at The Bougainvilla House in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and employed as a crisis & intake specialist for an Employee Assistance Program, ComPsych. She enjoys working with a diverse population of ages across the lifespan from a systemic, trauma-informed lens by specializing in children, adolescents, adults, and their families/relational systems. She is collaborating with professors for research focused on Trauma, and Autism Spectrum Disorder. She is a founder of the Lynn Student Counseling Organization where she served as an alternative member and initiated workshop seminars for clinical training to student members. She is a strong advocate for increasing mental health awareness and reducing homelessness & hunger rates in local communities, and volunteering with local mental health associations. She is committed to serving as IARTC's Graduate Student Representative and holistically supporting counselor professional identity development by connecting with students across the globe. d families.
